Karachi Port Trust Introduction Short
KPT is a Karachi Port Trust, which is one of the Federal Government owned agency that working under the Port and Shipping Secretary of Pakistan Government. It is also the responsibility of the Maritime Secretary of Pakistani to look after the all operations of Port of Karachi, that is located in Karachi Sindh province Karachi it was also known as the gateway of Asia because of its huge prime location in the Arabian Sea side and the port was established between the early in years of 1880 and 1887, under Act of IV of 1886 years. The Karachi Port is run by a Board of one Trustees, which includes a Chairperson, appointed by the Federal Government and 10 trustees. At the time of independence of Pakistan in 1947, the capacity of the port for the dry cargo Shipping was 1.5 million tons and for products it was about 1.0 million tons per annum. Now a days Karachi port has the capacity for the liquid cargo which is about of 11.74 million tons and for the dry cargo about 25.45 Million tons

Age relaxation to other categories as per Government instruction will also be applicable
All posts are on contract for a period of 3 years (extendable)
v10% for woman, 5% for minorities and 2% for disabled persons will be observed. Candidates for disabled quota shall have to submit registration certificate (as disabled citizen) granted by Federal and Provincial Government.
